Internet Marketing Using Webinars

Are Webinars a Tool in Your Internet Marketing Tool Belt?

You are well aware of the importance of communication no matter what type of business you’re in. It’s critical when it comes to dealing with current clients and potential prospect’s and it’s usually a determining factor of overall success or failure. Webinars have become one of the most popular ways of communicating with others in the Internet Marketing world. And it’s for good reason! Here’s why…

• Your attendees can join your webinar from anywhere in any part of the world! Why restrict yourself to just a pool of people in a specific location?

• Webinars are cheap. The cost of running a webinar can be low as a dinner for two a month!

• You can do it all yourself. You don’t need assistants, a production crew or even a webcam! You can show a power point presentation and talk over that explaining the slides on your screen to your audience.

If you’re involved in Internet marketing you’re in, you probably have a list of customers &/or prospects. Conducting a webinar is a great way to get personal and build value with your list.

Use the webinar as a chance to get to know your audience, and let your audience get to know you. Be genuine and be yourself. Make it about them. Provide a service and give them value. It will pay off tenfold!

When you’re done with your webinar, broadcast it to the rest of your list that didn’t show up. Those who didn’t attend might show up next time if they see the value that your webinar provides.

If you’re thinking of making webinars one of your Internet marketing tools, remember three key points:

1. Set Goals

Though it is apparent, you have to set goals when conducting a webinar. Your goals will give you the ability to measure your results and manage the statistics of your results. What is it that you’re trying to accomplish with your webinar?

• Are you trying to generate product sales?

• Are you trying to teach present clients more about your products?

• Are you looking for opinions and responses from employees or clients?

No matter what you’re looking to achieve, setting goals will help you determine whether or not your webinar was successful and will also be an indication of how much you need to tweak or change before your next webinar.

2. Calculate Answers

When reviewing your webinar prior to going live, think of possible questions that your audience may have. You may wish to tweak your presentation to address those questions that you think will arise. If you’ve conducted the same webinar in the past, it’s probably a safe bet that the questions you had then, will come up again. If you’re prepared for those questions, there’s a better chance that your answers will be accepted by your audience, and you will come across as an authority figure on that topic.

3. Maximize Your Turnout

Your attendance rate will probably be in the 40-60% range. That’s 40-60% of the total number of people who were scheduled to attend. You should come up with a plan to track down the people who were scheduled to attend, but didn’t show up. You could send an email a few days after the event, with required links and a copy of the webinar. You could also send them invites for your next webinar and incentivize them to show up by offering a free gift for attending.

Internet marketing is constantly changing and we must adapt to those changes in order to have an advantage and stay ahead of the pack.
